Research of Bridge Structure and Its Design and Construction Technology in Special Line for Passenger Transport from Qinhuangdao to Shenyang

The special line for passenger transport from Qinhuangdao to Shenyang is one of the key projects in the Ninth Five-Year Plan and also a remarkable one in the construction technology of Railway in China. It has been designed with new standard, high quality requirement and much high level of technologies such as design speed of 200km/h, initial running speed of 160km/h and even up to SOOkm/h in trial section. Especially the bridge engineering has to be concerned with high, new and difficult technologies. New technologies firstly adopted are Post-tensioned Prestressed Concrete Simply-Supported Box Girder, Assembly Two-Way Prestressed Concrete Simply-Supported T-Girder, Reinforced Concrete Continuous Rigid Frame, and Steel-Concrete Composite Continuous Girder. All these have formed a series of new bridge structures taking Prestressed Concrete Simply-Supported Box Girder as main feature.The thesis introduces firstly the situation of bridge developments in the world. Then the new bridge structures, design and construction technologies, manufacture and erection of girder and main equipments in relation to the special line have been mainly summarized and studied. Through the study the use of above-mentioned new technologies as reference to the bridge construction on special line for passenger transport and express railway has been also pointed out. Some proposals and comments to the bridge design and construction are presented.
