Unigraphics provides a couple of secondary development tools and methods, among which the UG/OPEN API Combined with VC, database development methods is chosen for founding microwave part library in this subject. The subject has realized the function of parameterized design on three dimensional drawing for the sake of rapid and efficient industry design. In this paper, parameterized conception and methods, UG secondary development tools and methods are introduced. The reason why the specific methods are chosen is justified. To make the subject clearer, Structure Analysis method is used in framework design. The methods of how to develop the basic module, the database interface and design, the primary window and relative purpose inside this system are expounded, and so do the other very specific difficulties and the solutions concerned.By means of aforementioned approaches, the system has attained the purpose of parameterized driven drawing by the data from either the founded library or clients’ input. It provides two manners of obtaining part types from the library, i.e. preview manner, compounded query manner. The system also offers some other minor functions. In the end of this paper, the possible expanding purposes of this system is estimated. Thus, the relative scheme on how to realize them is outlined to pave the way for the future developers.
